Over the years IHARF has pursued many research activities relevant to Western Canadian growing conditions. To complete these activities, IHARF manages both a small-plot research and demonstration program, as well as a field-scale program on 1200 acres of land cropped by IHARF every year.
IHARF is one of eight AgriARM (Agriculture Applied Research Management) organizations in Saskatchewan; a network of applied research and demonstration sites led by volunteer Boards of Directors primarily comprised of producers. This network allows IHARF to collaborate on a variety of projects across the province in any given year and validate results across a wide range of soil and climatic conditions.
